I believe education is the basis for all positive social change.
It is an honour to serve the constituents of Ward D and to represent families on the Edmonton Public School Board. I am currently serving in my first term as a Trustee.
I’m a proud Edmonton parent of two; my kids are in grade six and grade two in Edmonton Public. My husband and I have lived in Ward D for more than ten years. This part of the city has a way of capturing the imagination as well as the commitment to community shared by so many who live here.
Before being elected to EPSB, I worked for 17 years with CBC radio and television in stations across the country. I also spent a year working as a trainer with Journalists for Human Rights in West Africa.
I am a school board Trustee because I believe strongly in the value of public education. Education matters. Our kids matter. And our communities are connected by the schools that bring kids and education together.
